The City Hotel.

Driving on the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the rain....

It was our anniversary weekend, I knew the day at the zoo would be busy and also we enjoy going in to the city to see the Christmas decorations and lights.

As a treat we stayed at a lovely hotel. Our accommodation was a loft apartment that could fit us all in. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our Continental buffet the next day; fresh and stewed fruit, cereals, thick and spicey toast, coffee and juice. Pastries as well!!!

What a treat. We enjoyed being so close to the zoo and the Christmas decorations. David Jones had a lovely window display of the Elves working with Santa. The tree in Martin Place kept changing colour as well.

It was wonderful to see that the Nativity scene was in many large stores and windows.

Although 4 year old daughter was exhausted, she continued on, so exciting......

Oooooh it all looks lovely! Good on you for planning such a fun and memorable weekend for your whole family! Can't wait to see Christmas in the city ourselves this year - I am determined! The hotel looks perfect.

I had a similar company paid trip in 2000 or so, we were supposed to look for a house or think about if we would want to be transferred.

I want to go to the zoo though, so will read your post for tips. We live half way between Melbourne and Sydney now so I want to see the Sydney zoo. I have seen the Melbourne one many times and the Canberra one once.

Sounds like you had a lovely time in the city and at the zoo. A treat at the hotel would have been great too, before the rush of Christmas and end of year things.
